"I was inadvertently introduced to Dr. Jim Guo at the Acupuncture &
Chiropractic Clinic upon returning home from my visit to my internist's
office for treatment of shingles. I was informed at that time
that no treatment was available because I had the ailment for over two
weeks, and the shot was only good if caught within the early stages.
I met my friend in the driveway and she suggested Dr. Guo; as I was desperate for relief, so I agreed. She secured an appointment for the next day; it was with some trepidation that I made that first visit. But it was also after that first visit that I began to feel the best I had in years.
My first impression of my first visit was that this doctor "talked" with me and commented on my concerns. And most miraculously upon completion of my first visit I walked out pain free. "At the time of this writing, I have
been under Dr. Jim Guo's care for 6 weeks. He has not prescribed
any drugs, has not laid out a prognosis with little hope of my
regaining control, nor has he failed to listen to my questions.
What Dr. Guo has done is looked at my condition as one that
involves my whole body. He has listened to what I had to say.
By the time I stepped into Dr. Guo's office, in addition to my UC
flare-up, I had lost 20 to 25 pounds, was pale white and had aches and
swelling in my legs. Dr. Guo set out on what I figured was a
daunting task of bringing me back to the living. He asked me
several questions and developed a course of action that was specific to
me. The method he was to employ was to realigning my chi through
acupuncture, this would help my body regain it's proper functioning.
This was not to be a quick fix, but rather on that would take
several visits. He was confident that he could turn my health
around for the better. During my weeks of treatment Dr. Guo
offered suggestions on changes to my diet, techniques to lessen my
daily stress, and tips on how to reduce the persistent swelling in my
legs. I have to stress that no prescriptions were ever offered!
As of today I have returned to my normal weight, there is no sign
of any intestinal issues, and I feel great. I am well again and my wife
even notices a difference! "My time with Dr. Guo has run counter
to all of my previous medical experiences. He looked at the big
picture causing my UC and worked from that point on. I am

Pancreatitis
"Dr. Jim put little needles on me and put a strong orange light on (which kind of warmed me up a bit). Each visit got me better and better. I was feeling lesser and lesser pain until I noticed I wasn't feeling pain at all. I am really thankful for Dr. Jim helping me with my pain. When I got pain Dr. Jim would give me some Chinese herbs which would help me get better. They helped me a lot. I went through months with my pains and the pancreatitis but I knew I wouldn't last forever. I thank God for helping me by letting Dr. Jim do a miracle in cure me with acupuncture. Bursitis, Sciatica & back spasms
For ten years I suffered from bursitis in my hip along with sciatica and back spasms. I had almost constant pain, which kept me up at night, and severely curtailed my formerly active lifestyle. I have been treated by orthopedic specialists, taken several cortisone shots and anti-inflammatory drugs, went through repeated bouts of physical therapy along with ultrasound and iontophoresis. I was never able to get the pain under control. Finally, I decided to try acupuncture and chiropractic treatment last my last hope. While bursitis is a chronic condition and I will have to manage it for the rest of my life, I am now in control. Elbow Surgery
I had major elbow surgery in 1972 at the age of 21. The doctor advised me that I had arthritis "like a fifty year old man". Fast-forward thirty plus years (including military service and a very physical lifestyle) and I was hurting. A Mass General Hospital specialist could only recommend surgery to clean it up. In January 2006 I met Dr. Jim Guo.Dr. Jim introduced me to Eastern medicine, specifically Acupuncture. His initial treatments included acupuncture, "cupping" and aggressive use of chiropractic (Google "cupping" to learn more). I feel it's important to stress that you be open minded about the Eastern approach; set aside your Western Medicine mentality and any fear you have of needles (they don't hurt). let Dr. Jim do his thing.
There was a "good discomfort" in the earlier visits. Dr. Jim aggressively treated the build up of scar tissue in the joint. I stated with weekly and then bi-weekly visits. Trust me, none of this discomfort cam close to the discomfort associated with surgery and post-op rehabilitation (I've had six operations on various joints). My elbow will never be right but the majority of the pain is gone and I'm able to function normally with it now and, very important, no surgery!
I see Dr. Jim about once a month now for acupuncture. he has a wonderful bed-side manor, is a gentleman and couldn't be more straightforward about the program. I highly recommend him and I can be reached through his office for additional comments about my experience.

I have suffered with chronic severe
diarrhea for years and found no rellief with the many medications
doctors had prescribed. In despiration, I decided to see if
acupuncture would help. Dr. Guo not only arrested my diarrhea,
but in addition helped with my arthritic thumbs and my general mental
and sleep problems. I no longer take medication for my digestive
problems, my thumbs no longer throb, my mental attitude and sleep have
improved greatly. I do not hesitate recommending Dr. Guo, He has
done me wonders!

Crohn's disease
My Chrohn's disease flared up after
giving birth to my son in 2004. Because of this I was on
prednisone every 4-6 months. I started coming to Dr. Guo in March
of 2007, since this time I have not had to go on the prednisone once.
I strongly feel that Dr. Guo's acupuncture has everything to do
with my better health. I would highly recommend acupuncture from
